The donor's father, Charles Walter, is 3rd from left, seated at the back table On the back of the accession sheet are the following names, Dan King's Restaurant, North Springfield, German - American, Dan King, Jim Young, Charles Walter, Grandmother King, Mrs. D. M. ( Lillian Eckas) King, Ellizabeth King, Irene King, and Julia Brace

Black and white photo of Campbell Ave.looking north from Walnut. Identified businesses include Kieffer & Hawkins Furniture (310-12), Charles Mack Dry Goods (318-20), Schwab Bros. Clothing (217-19) South Campbell. A large crowd is gathered on the street. The donor worked as a clerk in the store at the time of the photo. He later had a store of his own in Brookline, MO and then one at 409 S. New in Springfield.

Two postcards of Calvary Presbyterian Church, NW, corner of St. Louis St. and short Benton Ave. Springfield, Mo. One card is unused, the other was mailed to Miss. Alice Archer, Mountain Grove, Mo., postmarked Dec. 26, 1906, one cent stamp. Photo. Is printed vertically so that the tall spire shows well. The church building sits on a slight rise wlhich drops down at the rear of the building. The building is brick withl a rough limestone foundation and cut stone trim. Elictric lines enter from a pole in front. 3.5 X 5.5 inches. Black ink on offwhite card stock. Current site of Mercantile Bank.

The monument can be seen in the center right draped in bunting. The view is of the southwest quadrant. Businesses shown are Adams-Bigbee and Caskey Dry Goods and Saddler, Heckart jewelry store, Dry Goods store and eye glasses and book store.

A black and white copy of Bourquenot's Confectionery on the 200 block of South Street. The middle figure was identified as "Irby". The photo was mounted on board (located in the mounted collection, Print 242) with lables from the Springfield Art Museum, 1963.9 63b, and renumbered 1978-97.69 by the Museum of the Ozarks. The niece of Eugene Bourquenot, Mrs Jean F Atwill, recognized the photo when the copy was used in an exhibit, and noted that her uncle was from France and had owned this confectionery (it was not an ice cream parlor as labeled). A copy was made from the mounted collection to be place in the business collection.

Tefft grocery and meat market on the square, Waddill & Schwieder Wholesale Clothing on South Street. Church in background may be Grace Methodist or South Street Christian. The Gottfried Tower is clearly visible in the center of the square.

Black and white postcard of Anthony Hall on the Lincoln University campus at Jefferson City. It is a three story brick building. There are two trees in front of the building and several can be seen in the background. The postcard is addressed to Miss Leona Smith Reed, 1107 Sherman Ave, Springfield, MO. It is post marked fron Jefferson City on October 23, 1951 at 8 p.m.. The one cent stamp is canceled with "Remember--only you can prevent forest fires. On the part of the postcard for correspondence it reads, "26th Annual Homecoming, November 3rd 9:45 A.M. Parade, 11:30 A.M. Alumni Business Meeting, 2:00 P.M. Lincoln Tigers vs. Alcorn Braves, 9:00 P.M. Athletic Committee Dance A Place in the Sun---'51

The printing says: "The National Exchange Bank capital and surplus $130,000. Interes paid on balance in savings department. Your business solicitied, Springfield, Mo. The officers listed are N.M. Rountree, president; M.T. Davis, Vice-president; L. Holland, vice-president, M.C. Baker, cashier; J.B. Russell, assistant cashier. The Exchange Bank was organized in 1885 when John B. Noland, John Holland and Lee Holland organized it. It later became known as the the National Exchange Bank.

The one farthest to the left is a man. He is wearing a suit and tie. There are two young women in the middle. The woman who is third from the left has on a middy top with white stripes. The woman of the far right is an adult and is wearing a high collared dress with puffy sleeves and tucks down the bodice. She is holding a Normal pennant. There are five girls in the back row. The second from the left is holding a Normal pennant. This picture was taken outside, in front of a house. The house has a porch and a wooden plank sidewalk.

A group of students and their teacher standing outside of Rountree School in 1937-38. The picture was taken by Stuart Photo. This is not the Rountree School in Springfield, but a Greene County school at the southeast corner of old highway FF and Farm Rd. 168.
