A black and white photo of two men, one is possibly C.D. Mauley, County Clerk of Barry County. The men both wear suits and ties. The photo is enclosed in a photo folder. The outside is grey-green while the frame around the picture is light brown with a green design. 4 1/2" x 6" picture inside an 8 1/4 x 5 5/8" folder.

Brown ration book holder containing various ration books, stamps, stove purchase certificate, and fuel ration tickets.

Woman's party or dance dress made of silk georgette with picot edging, back slit and scalloped hem. Tan fabric printed in a fan-like pattern in pink, blue, brown and red. Peach color slip made of silk crepe de chine. Worn by Esther Mitchell Oleson, mother of the donor. She was from North Carolina but was living in Pittsburgh, PA when she bought the dress.

Handwritten list, on blue lined paper with brown ink, of the names of masters and slaves in Greene County and the dollar values for the slaves. Masters names include Fulbright,weaver, Haden and Farrier.

one pair of infants red leather shoes, high-topped, without heels, scalloped side section buttons with 4 black, round buttons. Purple cloth lining, brown leather soles. Worn and scuffed.Worn by eugene Johnston, age 6 months to one year.

Folk art male doll, seated, with dried apple head, white wool hair, eyebrows and beard and wire glasses and pipe. Dressed in blue print shirt, red print scarf, woven brown trousers. Seated in a wooden chair. Matches female doll 2000-18-9.

Standard schedule (printed) from the congregational yearbook for report from the Church. Filled out in dark brown ink. To be returned to Rev. E. F. Weeler. Filled out with information from the Swedish Church, Springfield, MO.

This white cotton baby bonnet was worn by Mrs. Margaret Brown Thompson, sister of the donor, when she was an infant. It has tiny tucks and lace insertions with lace edging around the outer edge and crown. The ties are of white cotton with lace edging.

Black velour hat with a black ribbon in front and two tone brown ribbon circling the brim. Imprinted on the interior fabric is "Genuine velour" with one tag that says "Valerie model". The hat box is light beige with "Heers" printed on the top and a lamppost. There is gold foil around the top of the box. Printed on the bottom is "MFG. by Boaz Box Co., Phila. Pa.". Inside the box is a tag with "5 2637 1805 38 L200 A $14.98". It was owned by Mary Ruth McShane of Monett, Mo.

Two metal note storage tools, designed to be wall mounted. The backing is of a cut design with a sharp ended prong extending from the bottom. One is painted brown, while the other appears to be black originally, but is splattered with white and gold. Items are part of a collection from the Baker family, who owned a grocery store at 635 W Chestnut, and lived at 632 W Chestnut.

Round, brown metal token with scalloped edges from Springfield Electric Street(or streetcar)Railway for one full fare. Springfield first had mule or horsedrawn streetcars in 1880-1881 and the streetcars were electrified in 1885-1887.

The hat has a black velvet band on top with black netting hanging down, there is a rhinedtone clip in the front, there is also brown fur trim around the black velvet band, it is small.

1993-19-18
Black and white photo mounted in brown-gray cardboard frame. Photo shows an African American family (5 men, 2 women, and two children). Possibly the Rice family. The man seated at left appears in 1993-19-16. The word "Cooley" is written on front of frame.

Program of graduating exercises for the Springfield Hospital Training School for Nurses. Graduating were Rosella Brown, Jennie Bryant, Ada Darrow, Blanche Farwell, Lela Ford, Maude Garbee, Goldah Medlin and Edna Van Zandt. In the program were Rev. W.G. Pike, Pearl Loy, Rev. C.B. Miller and Dr. J.R. Boyd.

Springfield City Directory for 1873-74, the first published for the town. Hardback, brown paper cover, taped on spine. Lists residents, businesses, streets, churches and contains an historical sketch of the town.Belonged originally to W.C. Booth, donated in memory of W.W. Johnson.

Wire framed reading glassed in black case marked "Chinn-Beretta, 476 13th St Oakland". Label inside of case marked "Chinn, Beretta, 25114, 76 13th St Oakland". Used by George W. Brown before his death in 1928.

 1994-156-1
Off-white commemorative china plate with brown drawing of First Congregation Church which stood at the northeast corner of Benton Ave. and Calhoun St. and was built 1903-04.The donor and his family were members of this church which was founded in the early 1870's. The building shown on the plate burned on Jan. 12, 1952 and a new building was built in the same location.

 1998-536-2
Pocket watch chain (goes with pocket watch 1998-536-1) made from human hair. The chain is intricately woven in brown hair with gold end and center attachments. The watch key is hung on one end. Said by the family to have been made by a girlfirend of Jacob Garton, the owner, before his marriage.
