Originally owned by Hobert Mc Bride, Branson, MO. Published to commemorate the men and women from Greene County who served in WW I. It is the "honor roll of Greene, Co., MO bound in brown leather, it contains photos and information on Greene County WW I veterans.

Fine brown wool bonnet (ice wool) or cap with flase curls or fascinators on each side, probably knitted. Has black cotton ties. Cap was described as an Easter bonnet worn by Elizabeth Brack (great-grandmother of donor) in the 1850s. It was brought to Springfield by the owner in a covered wagon.

Two pairs of womens full length silk stockings, one black and one brown.Original paper labels attached, one from the Cash Dry Goods Store which was on the southeast corner of the public square, #112, from ca 1895 to 1935.

An older woman seated in a fancy chair by damask-draped table. She is wearing a snood with a fancy ruffle over her hair. On the back is a red-brown 1 cent proprietary revenue stamp. Possibly the same woman in 1988-68-97. The eyes are almost identical.

Womens' three-quarter length brown sheared beaver coat with stand-up collar. Three buttons in front with loop button holders, long,straight sleeves with no cuffs. The coat is straight, the silk lining has many pleated decorations around the edges.

Thirteen copies of pages of "Bias" Springfield Weely News Journal with a mention of negroes or black residents in the articles. They have been copied because they have these references or show segregation and bias.
