Black and white photograph of Springfield stockyards, ( Southwest Regional Stockyards) showing display buildings and a number of trucks and cars. Frank Gammon's father lost his farm in Buffalo, Mo., during the depression and came to Springfield, Mo. To work as a broker in a commission company at the Springfield Stockyards. His son ( Frank E. ) and grandson have continued in the business and currently own Gammon Cattle Company at the Southwest Regional Stockyards. The family have been associated in business with the stockyards for over 50 years.

Book entitled An Ordinance in Revision of the Ordinances for the government of the City of Springfield, MO. Approved Sept. 2, 1887, published by the Springfield City Council. Apparantly adopted to bring local laws in line with the newly adopted 1875 Missouri constitution.

Book titled " Reminiscences of the Life and Travels of Mr.s Julia A.H. Colby", who was a life long teacher in Springfield and southwest Missouri. After her retirement in 1915 she opened a private academy for girls and was active in women's suffrage, the W.C.T.U., the Humane Society and Welfare Society. The book also contains tributes from friends and colleagues.

Black and white photo of the State Normal School, 600 block S. Pickwick, c. 1906 large brick building with tower with five men standing near building. Founded in this building in 1894 as the Springfield Normal and Business College by J. A. Taylor. Became State Normal in 1906, which operated in this building at Pickwick Avenue and Cherrry Street until December 1908.
