There are two horse drawn street cars shown; on one it reads People's Railway Co. There are many wagons and buggies. Among the business are J. B. Townsend, W. M. Adams, and Bigbee and Co. 8 X 10 Inches. Black and white photographic print. Paper and emulsion. There are three stains along the top edge, four small ones on right, as well on left bottom corner. Black and white photo of men with horses and wagons working in the rock quarry located at the foot of the hill on College Street. The building in the background is the Springfield Brewing Co., which was located on College Street. There are eight men and two teams of horses and wagons working in the quarry. Some of the men are using sledge hammers, hand held rock drills and shovels.
