Book from the opening of the Atlantic & Pacific Railroad and completion of the South Pacific Railroad to Springfield, MO., May 3, 1870. Lists dignitaries, prints speeches, etc. from the celebrations. The donor was a long-time management employee of the Frisco Railroad and Burlington Northern Railroad.

The printing says: "The National Exchange Bank capital and surplus $130,000. Interes paid on balance in savings department. Your business solicitied, Springfield, Mo. The officers listed are N.M. Rountree, president; M.T. Davis, Vice-president; L. Holland, vice-president, M.C. Baker, cashier; J.B. Russell, assistant cashier. The Exchange Bank was organized in 1885 when John B. Noland, John Holland and Lee Holland organized it. It later became known as the the National Exchange Bank.
