Description/History:B & w copy of the Springfield Public Square at the time of the funeral for members of Fremont's Body Guard, Oct. 28, 1861 The deaths occurred during what is called Zagonyi's Charge. The new court house as well as the old burned red brick court house is shown. The copy is from a sketch that appeared in Leslie's Illustrated. Negative only.
