Description/History:Metal plaque, possibly brass, nailed to a piece of wood. On back side of wood, a colorful painting of a pot and vegetables with the word "Minestrone" indicates that the wood may have come from a cupboard door. Plaque reads "Mount Eagle Missionary Baptist Church, In 1900 this church was organized to fill the needs of the black residents in the east end of town. The neighborhood has almost given way to business development but the little church is still trying to serve the community. Springfield Historical Site Board. January 25, 1982"
