The jacket and knickers are of the same fabric. The dominate color is light brown, but there are a variety of colors in the tweed-like material. It also has a faint darker brown stripe. The jacket closes in front with three dark brown buttons. It has three pockets on the outside front. Each of these pockets has a button hole and a dark brown button to keep the pockets closed. There is also a button hole on the left lapel. The jacket has a self belt which has two button holes and two dark brown buttons. Two loops on the front of the jacket and two in back keep the belt in place. The inside of the jacket is lined in dark brown with the sleeves being lines in a striped fabric on different shades of brown. The knickers have a four button placket front opening. There is a watch pocket and two side pockets. There are also two back pockets that have flaps which are kept down with a brown button on each. There are five loops for a belt. The bottom of the knickers have a band that can be adjusted to fit snuggly to the leg. Each band has three brown buttons to assistant in adjustment. The knickers are lined with a light-weight striped fabric that is cut on the bias. A tag in the jacket reads, "Still Better Boys' Clothing. This was worn by Dr. C. F. McCormick ca 1900.
